It’s been 3 years between solo albums and I am excited to have finally released my new album 'Good Morning Sir, How Are You?' at a gig in Fremantle on July 6th 2018.
I shared the night with my good friend and long time collaborator Michael Savage and his band as we each released our 3rd albums.
Perth songwriter Leah Emily Grant started the night with a beautiful set of melodic, emotive folk pop songs.
A bit about the new album:
In 2005 I started working for an electrical retail store. For the next 10 years I worked on and off in retail and tucked away over a hundred songs and starting points that dealt with the ever growing frustration and dread of working with what seemed to be an endless supply of shitty customers and if possible, even shittier bosses.
The time never felt right to revisit and release these songs and since 2012 two solo albums have come and gone.
I’m beyond excited and proud to have finished my 3rd solo album.
The songwriting process spans over 13 years with early versions of several of the songs dating back to 2005.
I started recording the album in September 2017.
The album will be available everywhere online and in physical format on Friday 6th July when I’ll be launching the album.
Produced and mixed by James Newhouse, the album has 13 songs and clocks in at just under 36 minutes. I will be playing the album live with a three-piece band. The album will be available for sale on the night.
